Students feature on Dundalk FM

A group of fifth year students in St. Mary’s College participated in recordings with presenter Niall Ó Sluain on behalf of Dundalk Fm. They contributed to two shows as part of series of 24 shows recorded by Niall in the Ruaille Buaille III series. Our students showed wonderful enthusiasm and creativity and their passion for the Irish language. Niall recorded the show in collaboration with Ms. Tyrell in the classroom. Students showcased their musical talent and performed a song as Gaeilge and spoke about the importance of the Irish language. The show will be aired throughout March and St. Mary’s College will be featured on Wednesday the 6th March 20.00-20.30. Please tune in !

Over the midterm break, a group of Music students took time out with their Teachers Ms. Mullen and Ms. Lennon to feature on Town Talk with Marissa Lucchessi. The students perfomed live on the show and although nervous thoroughly enjoyed the experience of live radio. Rebecca Lambe Fegan played the Banish misfortune jig on the  the bodhran, Kellie Mc Guill showcased her beautiful voice by singing an Ed Sheeran cover. Joseph Oluwasanya was on bass guitar performing Hallelujah. Rachel Oladele in third year played the piano and Mark Mc Gahon played ukulele and sang  a rendition of ‘Can’t help falling in love with you. Thank you to Dundalk Fm for giving the Students an opportunity to experience live radio.
